How to Review Existing External Accounts

Review all the external accounts you currently have set up on the “External Accounts” page of online banking to determine which external accounts will need to be re-established.
 
  1. From the main menu, click on "Transfers & Payments" then, click on "Transfers."

  2. From the Transfers page, click on "External Accounts."

  3. From the “External Accounts” page, you will see a list of all the external accounts you currently have set up and if still in use, you'll need to re-establish them on the “External Transfers” page.

How to Re-establish an External Account

After reviewing which current external accounts will need to be re-established from the “External Accounts” page of online banking, you will re-establish those external accounts by adding and verifying them on the “External Transfers” page of online banking.
 

  1. From the main menu, click on "Transfers & Payments" then, click on "Transfers."

  2. From the Transfers page, click on "External Transfers."

  3. From the External Transfers page, click on "Add a New Account" from the Create Transfer section.

  4. Complete the required information (Account Type, Routing Number, and Account Number) and click "Next."

Verify Your External Account Instantly

For security measures, you must re-verify each external account you add before you can use it for external transfers. For instant verification, you'll be asked to provide your login credentials for the account you are adding.204 If instant verification is not available or it fails, you can use the trial deposit verification, which takes 1-2 business days.

  1. Select "Verify instantly" for instant verification of your external account.

  2. Enter your external bank account login information to verify you own the account.

  3. Select a method to verify your account either through a phone call or text message.

  4. Enter the authentication code you received through your selected verification method.

  5. If verification is successful, you will receive a confirmation that your external account is now ready for transfers.

Verify Your External Account Using Trial Deposits

If instant verification is not available or it fails, you can use the trial deposit verification, which takes 1-2 business days.

  1. Select “Verify with bank deposits.”

  2. Click “Send me two deposits.” We will send you an email and make two small deposits of less than $1.00 into your external account.

  3. Click “Done.” Two small deposits will appear in your external account in 1-2 business days.

  4. From the “Preferences” page under “My Other Accounts” select “Verify.”

  5. Follow the instructions presented to verify your account. Click the "Verify" button when complete.

  6. If verification is successful, you will receive a confirmation that your external account is now ready for transfers.

  2. From the Transfers page, click on "Transfer Activity"

  3. From the “Transfer Activity” page, you will see a list of all the external transfers you currently have scheduled.

How to Re-establish an External Transfer

After reviewing which current external accounts transfers will need to be re-established from the “Transfer Activity” page of online banking, you will re-establish those external transfers on the “External Transfer” page.
 
  1. From the main menu, click on "Transfer & Payments," then click on "Transfers."

  2. From the Transfers page, click on "External Transfers"

  3. Fill out the required information to create a transfer to your external account, then click on "Review" to confirm and complete your transfer.

How to Delete from the External Accounts Page

Once you’ve re-established your external accounts and all of your existing external transfers, make sure to delete your external accounts from the “External Accounts" page of online banking.

  1. From the main menu, click on "Transfers & Payments" then, click on "Transfers."

  2. From the Transfers page, click on "External Accounts."

  3. From the “External Accounts” page, click the trash can icon next to each external account that you have re-established on the External Transfers page.
